Outlook Flower and Bulb was formed by Harvey Hess and Joel Martin as the marketing division of J Martin and Friend Farms in 2025.  

Joel Martin took over running his Grandfather John Friends Farm after attending WSU for Ag Business. Focused mainly on Bulb production and selling a few flowers Joel rebuilt the farm acres back up to the 30+ acres it is today . In 2024 Harvey took 2 pallets of flowers to Portland to be shipped to LA and started a coversation about needing to develop more of a market for the flowers.
